5 Foods That Are Bad For Female Fertility


 

What you eat affects your body, some positive others negatively. As a woman there as certain foods you should take, and there are ones you should also avoid when trying to conceive. Here are 5 foods that are bad for female fertility.



Animal proteins


Animal protein is a protein we get from animals like chicken, while plant proteins are proteins we get from plants, an example is beans. Though plant proteins are good for fertility, animal protein is the opposite. Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health looked at nearly 19,000 female nurses who were actively trying to get pregnant and found that infertility was about 39 percent more likely in women with the highest intake of animal protein. So it is important to stay off animal protein as a woman or replace them with plant protein which is of high benefit to reproduction.



Caffeine


Caffeine can affect hormonal balance, which increases chances of miscarriage and prevention from ovulating. Caffeine stimulates the nervous system, during which they temporarily increase the heartbeat rate and raise blood pressure, constricting the blood vessels which slows the flow of blood to the uterus making it hard for eggs to hold. Therefore taking of caffeine is a bad idea for women, as they of no benefit to reproduction.



Soy Foods


Women who want to conceive should avoid eating soy. soy contains isoflavones. Isoflavones are compounds that act like estrogen in the body, sabotage sperm as they swim in the female reproductive tract trying to fertilize the egg. That means eating soy foods can sabotage healthy sperm even before they get to the egg, and reduce a woman chances of conceiving.



Alcohol


Vitamin B in the body helps increase the chances of pregnancy and fetus growth in the body. Alcohol constricts this vitamin. Alcohol is also bad for the liver, and since the liver has a close relationship with the sex hormones alcohol can change the assistance of these hormones to reproduction. To keep this hormone active, it is important to stay off alcohol.



Soda


Sugary soda contains high fructose corn syrup preservatives. Sugary soda provides calories empty of nutrition through the blood sugar spiking sweeteners and gut bacteria changing artificial sweeteners they carry. This calorie will fill a woman and prevent her from eating proper foods with nutrients that enhance her fertility.



For a woman that wants to bear children or one that have conception issues, it is better to avoid these 5 foods that are bad for female fertility, as they all have a negative effect on reproduction.
